Something New this Fall

This fall, I will be teaching others how ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia can be understood through a neuroaffirmative lens with my groundbreaking new course, Perspectives on Neurodiversity at the University of Notre Dame!

This means that, for the first time, I will be an Adjunct Associate Professor at an American university. How cool is that?

What the course will explore:

• Self-Determination Theory (SDT) as a fresh framework for neurodiverse identities

• The contrast between traditional medical models and neuroaffirmative approaches

• The impact of stigma, societal influences, and identity on neurodivergent individuals

• Develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and empowering perspectives to reshape how we understand neurodiversity in theory and practice.
